Aries is the first
sign of the zodiac. It is one of the Cardinal signs (along with
Cancer, Libra and Capricorn), which are known for their
initiative, pioneering qualities and outgoing natures.
Aries is ruled by
the fire element and the planet Mars, also the ancient god of
war and aggression. Aries people, therefore, tend to have an
aggressive, ambitious streak in them (though this may not be
obvious at first, due to other signs in their chart). They are
pioneers. They can also sometimes be ambitious to a fault. They
are able to follow a goal with full force and enthusiasm, and
donât let others get in their way. They are headstrong.
Aries is the house
of the Self, and those born under this sign are born leaders of
great self-confidence and initiative. If unbalanced, those born
under Aries can be prone to wild temper tantrums and/or
impatience.
Aries are born
optimists. Even when they are down, their tryst into depression
is short-lived, and they manage to find the positive in every
situation. They are also great confidents, and are very generous
with their advice and help to those in need (though they like to
be recognized for their good deeds). Independence is very
important to those born under the sign of Aries. They dislike
being given orders, and like to be given the authority to make
their own decisions. They are also known for courage as their
best trait.
Aries are also
known to be very honest in word and deed, though tact is not
always a forte (unless they have prominent water signs in their
chart). Aries people tend to be lucky with money, though they
spend it freely. However, they manage to pay their debts back,
for they have far too much pride to remain indebted to anyone.
Aries rules the
head, so Ariens can hold their stress in the form of migraine
headaches, and be prone to sinus congestion or teeth problems.
They also need to be careful of protecting themselves against
head or face injuries, and from high-speed incidents. Good foods
for Aries are those high in potassium phosphate, as Aries expend
a great deal of energy and tend to be active. These are
potatoes, tomatoes, beans, brown rice, cucumber, spinach,
walnuts, figs, bananas, broccoli, lentils. Aries also need
plenty of rest and relaxation for their busy minds and bodies.
Overall, Aries is
optimistic, enthusiastic, free-spirited and pioneering. If
unbalanced, they can be impatient, feisty or temperamental.
Famous Aries are Betty Davis, Johann Sebastian Bach, Matthew
Broderick, Joan Crawford, Doris Day, Gregory Peck, Diana Ross,
Ewan McGregor.
