I'll say farewell to the springs
To the mountains
That flew in my mind
To the trees
That blocked the sun from my sight
To the waterways
Which were the long threads of my thoughts

To the pebbles of the streets
That rolled under my feet
I'll say farewell
To the clamor of the rain
That murmured the song of my love
To the memories
Which were my empty spaces
To the people
Who resembled me
I'll say farewell

Today, the sound of farewell
Is heard from the sanctuary of God!
Like a blossoming flower
Comes out of cage
And at night with hundred thousands calls I tell myself
"I will say farewell to all these"
To the stars that sat on the edge of the roof
And stared at my loneliness,
With its fences guarding life and love within!
To the bubble filled with water
And to the familiar breath of my beloved,
That slipped in my breath!

After your last sighs
Left your pressed chest
And with tearful eyes
You said goodbye
To the people you once loved
And you closed your eyes forever
Can you ever love anybody again?
And make a difference
In the lives of those who you used to love?
Don't answer, as time makes you suffer

Our time
Is a peaceful time
Is a time spent in the cage of life
The sound of the birth of another man
Is heard from remotest places
Alas! This is no Freedom

Loot at God's earth
That is the eternal home?
See the thick juice of breaths
That emits a monotonous melody from the mouth
And leave deep thoughts behind!

You'd see a moment as astonishing as the birth of a child!
It takes the hand of life
And returns to outgoing breathe
Don't forget
That life is no more than a song!
May be one day a leaf falls out of Darkness
And we plunge in the arms of intimacy
And throw out the dark ray of life
But until that moment
We hold the pen in one hand
And open the notebook with the other
And stain the flames of thoughts
With the illusion of love
And out of the fear of blasphemy
We fall silent
[Long live freedom of thought]

I see the face of everything
That draws me to the oasis of Man
I smell the flowers
I understand poverty
I leave the resurrecting eyes of spirit
In the corporeal body
I deprive my eyes from the rays of light
I keep the sound of pigeons' fluttering
In my ears
I appreciate scenes of the sky
With a reviving melody
Apparently an angel will take me away from this world
To leave me in another remote corner.

sedaaye motevaled shodan-e ensaani digar
az aghsaa'tarin noghteh'haa
beh goosh miresad
Afsoos in nist aazaadi!

zamin-e khodaa raa bebin
keh manzelgaah-e abadist!
shirehye tang-e nafas-haa raa bebin!
keh aahang-e yek-navaakht az dahaan migoshaayad
va tafakoraati az amaagh-e vojood
bejaay migozaarad!
Lahzehi raa beh shegefti-ye tavalod-e yek kodak mibinid!
aghrabehye hayaat raa
beh saraasar-e kaakh'haaye badan mibarad
va beh baaz-dam bar migardaand

keh zendegi aahangi bish nist!
shaayad zamaani barghi az miaan-e zolmat khaarej gardad
va maa dar aaghoosh-e samimiat ghooteh bokhorim
va shoaa-e tireh-ye hayaat raa beh door andaazim
amm'aa taa aan lahzeh
maa ghalam raa dar yek dast migirim
va baa dast-e digar daftar raa baaz mikonim
va sholehye andisheh raa
beh khiaal-e eshgh-e vojood aaloodeh misaazim
va az tars-e kofr gooi khamoosh migardim
[zendeh baa azzadi-e fekr]

hameh chiz mano be samt-e vaadi-e adam mikeshaanad
golhaa raa mibooyam
faghr raa dark mikonam
negaah'haye jaanfazaaye rooh raa
dar kaalbod-e jesm ra-haa mikonam
Shoa-e khorshid raa az moghaabel-e didgaanam
mahroom mikonam
sedaaye be-ham khordan-e kabootaraan raa
az faraaz-e baamhaa dar goosh jaay midaham
sahneh-haaye aasemaan raa
baa aavaaye jaan-fazaayesh
tahsin mikonam
gooyaa freshtehi maraa az in aalam bedar mibarad
va dar gooshehi digar rahaa mikonad.
