Elections are good: - You don't want to live in a country where there's no elections, where there's some government that knows what YOU want.

Opinion polls are good: - You don't want to live in a country where citizens are not supposed to have an opinion.

A divided electorate is good: - You don't want to live in a country where one party gets 95% of the vote.

TV, radio, internet channels jumping the gun are good: - You don't want to live in a country where there are no independent sources for information.

Recounting ballots is good: - You don't want to live in a country where NO errors are made.

Lawyers are good: - You don't want to live in a country where lawyers are kidnapped, tortured and slain.

Even legal chicanery is good: - You don't want to live in a country where both sides' views are not listened to equally, sometimes at length.

It's democracy, stupid!
